A “living journey” where Geinoh and food meet in Sanriku.

Sanriku International Arts Festival2025 Nurture Poster

This year’s theme is “Nurture (Kamosu)”. It reflects the profound depth of Sanriku’s matured Geinoh and how encounters nurture the heart. In Kamaishi, surrounded by sea and mountains, local Geinoh, young people, travelers, and community wisdom come together to “mix” and “brew” in a unique way.

This program is a big event that brings local Geinoh from the Sanriku coastal area together. The two-days event will be filled with a variety of activities, from the night program ” Kagura Shuku” and other dance performances to the Bon Odori dance performed by all performers. At the venue, please enjoy the combination of ” Geinoh” and “food” such as Sanriku gourmet food stalls (kitchen cars) and an all-you-can-drink corner for local sake “Hamachidori”.
