Learn about the earthquake disaster at Unosumai Tomos.
Unosumai Tomos is a complex facility consisting of the Tsunami Memorial Hall (Inochi wo Tsunagu Miraikan), Kamaishi Memorial Park, and Unosato Visitor Center.
You can learn about the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and disaster prevention/preparation.

A number of boats carrying local Geinoh with big fishing flags waving will cruise in Kamaishi Port.

Kamaishi local Ramen is known for its “ultra-thin, frizzy noodles (which can be cooked quickly)” and “amber-colored, clear, light soy sauce-flavored soup”.
These ramen noodles have been developed along with the development of Kamaishi, which has been loved by iron miners and their families, as well as by impatient and feisty fishermen.

Each local Geinoh group will go into town and perform Kadouchi (dedicate their Geinoh in front of stores) at bars and other places.

DAY 3 - October 19 (Sun)

Hashino Iron Mine Taxi 3-hour plan
There are no buses or other public transportation services to the Hashino Iron Mine, a World Heritage Site. Hoever, the Kamaishi Tourist and Products Association operates a cab service that is available only on weekends and holidays at a reasonable price.
Cab fare, which costs 18,840 yen for round trip, is reduced to 10,000 yen (for a single passenger in a cab) or 3,000 yen( per person for 5 or more passengers in a jumbo cab) *Reservations required at least 2 days in advance.

Watch a simultaneous Toramai performance in the central city.
From Kamaishi Station, cross the Otobashi Bridge and go straight ahead to get to the venue of the simultaneous Toramai performance. The Geinoh groups will perform all at once across approximately 400 meters.
