Spread in the ocean and on the coasts across the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, Sea Bajau, known by their seaborne lifestyle, have unique traditional performing arts comprised of gong music with very fast beat and dance which sometimes elegantly imitates birds. The 11 members of the troupe, from youngsters to veterans, are mainly from Bangau-Bangau, Semporna, Sabah State, Malaysia, including a highly acclaimed dancer Intan Sulga designated as “Master of Living Tradition” by Malaysian government in 2011.
