Remon Nakanishi
Artist
Remon Nakanishi’s practice includes fieldwork on the Bon dance, and artworks that address the importation and transformation of culture, focusing on song, dance and iconography. He is the Tokyo coordinator for Monogatari Universe, a remote teaching course on the Goshu ondo dance taught by Tadamaru Sakuragawa I. He has edited Interviews and Documents: Teshima’s Bon Dance Ondo (Teshimanomado, 2014).
