and artists from Sanriku, Indonesia, and Taiwan will collaborate to create and perform a stage production, &#8220;THE LEGEND OF KAMINAGA-HIME&#8221;, based on a Sanriku folk tale.\u2028This is an international co-production that fuses traditional Geinoh and contemporary stage expression, using the bamboo flute as a common language, and incorporating contemporary issues such as disasters, marine debris, declining birthrates, and cultural transmission into the story.\u2028The creative process and performance will be filmed and broadcast both domestically and class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>[Background of the work]<\/strong><br>In 2021, during the pamdemic, Geinoh groups\/contemporary artists from Sanriku, Indonesia, and Cambodia exchanged via online to create a stage piece, &#8220;TKaminaga-hime&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This work was recorded and streamed as a &#8220;Tokyo 2020 NIPPON Festival Co-sponsored Program&#8221; and was seen by many people.
